| Macanudo was originally the name of a frontmark produced in Jamaica by the makers of the Cuban brand of Punch. In 1971, General Cigar Company introduced a new cigar named Macanudo as a brand unto itself. Developed in Jamaica under the creative leadership of Ramón Cifuentes, the legendary Cuban cigar master of Partagas, Macanudo soon became the leading premium cigar and remains so today. |

Now crafted exclusively in the Dominican Republic, every Macanudo Café cigar is made with the finest Connecticut Shade wrapper, a flavorful blend of Dominican tobaccos and a select binder grown in the rich St. Andrés Tuxtla Valley of Mexico. And to assure you of the same smoothness in cigar after cigar, the makers of Macanudo use only the most thoroughly aged tobaccos. Every time you light up a Macanudo, you can count on enjoying the same relaxing experience, for this is the cigar that always delivers the same distinctively Macanudo-smooth taste.

Crafted by Cigar Master, Daniel Nuñez, the new Macanudo Robust is a blend constructed with only the darkest Connecticut Shade wrapper grown on Macanudo-owned Connecticut River Valley farms. To achieve a more flavorful cigar, Daniel combines the sweetness of a Connecticut Broadleaf binder with a fuller-flavored blend of Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Every size of Macanudo Robust now comes square-pressed. Macanudo Robust is now more flavorful than ever while still capturing the quality and consistency that consumers expect from the Macanudo brand. Macanudo, An American Passion.

Today, Macanudo Maduro cigars are crafted in the Dominican Republic with the very best Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers. Even grainier, oilier and more flavorful than the Maduro wrapper leaves that were grown for Macanudo in the San Andrés Tuxtla Valley, the Maduro wrappers now used by Macanudo are truly exceptional. In fact, only two of the many tobacco farms in the Connecticut River Valley yield Broadleaf tobacco leaves that meet the high standards for Macanudo Maduro. Like a rare port wine, a Macanudo Maduro has a lingering, rich flavor that lends itself to moments of the most tasteful relaxation.

A Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection cigar is the ultimate in mellowness and smoothness in two distinct ways. First, the wrapper is the rarest of all Connecticut Shade tobacco leaves. Second, all of the tobaccos used in crafting these extraordinary cigars are aged longer than any others. To set these cigars apart in yet another way, each of them displays two bands – one to identify the cigar as Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection and the other to designate the year of the Vintage harvest. As one would expect, the cigars grow in value as they age and become more and more scarce. Since a 1979 Macanudo Vintage cigar is older and more rare than a 1997, for example, the differences in their ages are reflected in their separate prices. A Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection cigar delivers the ultimate Macanudo experience because it is that much mellower and that much smoother than even a Macanudo Café cigar can be.

Handcrafted with golden wrapper leaves from the first and second primings of Macanudo's specially grown Connecticut Shade crop, Macanudo® Gold Label® cigars are blessed with a natural sweetness. The wrappers are elegantly thin, yet remarkably supple with fine veins. Their texture is especially smooth, without a hint of graininess. "Capa Especial" is the Spanish term for this wrapper of uncommon taste which, when combined with filler and binder tobacco of complementary character, results in a cigar that lives up to the tradition of quality that is Macanudo. Macanudo Gold Label cigars provide the same smoothness and consistency found in all Macanudo cigars. . . and an amazing sweetness not found in any other cigar.
