The Fuente family has been producing the world's finest cigars for generations. With nearly 200 years combined of making cigars, the Fuente and Newman families
are two of the oldest cigar families in the world. From the Fuentes’ early days of rolling cigars in Tampa’s Ybor City, to the Newman’s founding in Cleveland back in 1895, our families have a rich cigar heritage that spans four generations, each. Arturo Fuente's history goes back to 1912. Started in Cuba, this brand now has
more than 500 torcedors making over 24 million cigars a year from the factory's
location in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Carlos Fuente and son, Carlos Jr. are
celebreties among the cigar world, overseeing every step of the cigar-making
process that bears their namesake. These cigars are medium to full-bodied
masterpieces. The naturals are wrapped in a special Cameroon wrapper, the
maduros in an aged Connecticut broadleaf, and 4 of the sizes are available in an
Ecuadorian sun-grown. The Seleccion d'Oro line sports a very special Connecticut
shade-grown, giving it a trluy balanced and mild flavor. |

The Fuente family has been producing the world's finest cigars for generations, and the Arturo Fuente Hemingway cigars are no exception. Made with an exquisite, mild to medium blend of vintage Dominican filler tobaccos and very delicate African Cameroon wrappers (or Maduro, if you can find them), they're arguably the most sought after cigars made in the Fuente factory. t takes a real master to make a true Cuban Perfecto cigar. Arturo Fuente started making those shapes again in 1980. At that time nobody was making shaped cigars. There was no one making Perfecto shapes. Arturo Fuente wanted to really bring back the old world, just to keep the art, the tradition, the craft alive. They used to make, maybe twenty cigars a day just for themselves to smoke and enjoy. Those first cigars are what is known today as the Hemingway Signature 6" x 47. The Signature was introduced in 1983 and that was the only shape available until around 1988 when we introduced the Classic and the Masterpiece. About that same time my Arturo Fuente wanted to develop something totally different, unseen in cigars. So we started making a very short cigar, which was only for our own personal use. That cigar became the Short Story. Today Arturo Fuente makes all these cigars and also a few very limited shapes such as the Work of Art, Best Seller, Untold Story or the Between the lines as well as others. These cigars are extremely difficult to make so production is very small. They accumulate the limited production of these cigars in the aging rooms and usually release them around the holidays, something special for cigar smokers to enjoy.

The Arturo Fuente Reserva Añejo has been called the maduro OpusX because the binder and filler are reportedly the same, with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper aged in cognac barrels. The production of the Añejo series is extremely limited, and only released around the holidays. (Due to scarcity, these cigars are not available by the box and sales are limited to two per customer).
